This is your carbine safety, zeroing, and shooting fundamentals course. Topics include:
How a Carbine Works
Muzzle, Trigger, and Safety Selector Discipline
Loading and Unloading
The Zeroing Process
Intro to External Ballistics
Mounting (Gripping) the Carbine
Controlling the Trigger
Managing the Sights
Principles of Vision
How to Practice
Training Duration: (8) hours. Training begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 5:00 PM. There is a short break for lunch.
Training Location: Granby Bow & Gun Club, 85 Chicopee St, Granby, MA 01033.
Required Gear: carbines ONLY, at least two carbine magazines, ear & eye protection, durable outer wear (you will be laying on your stomach), lunch, and water.
Estimated Round Count: 150.
This course is non-refundable. In the event the instructor cancels the course due to weather, students will have the option of a full refund or “credit” toward a future course.
